As well as offering the full range of 'normal' TLD (Top Level Domains),
we are now pleased to also offer Irish .ie domain registrations.
Recent rule changes mean that Irish .ie domain names are now also
available to register by any company or organisation based in Northern
Ireland.
Registration of Irish .ie domains is open to companies, organisations
and individuals based in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
However, if you are based in England, Scotland or Wales, you may
be able to register an Irish .ie domain name if you can demonstrate
substantial trade or commercial activity within Northern Ireland
or Republic of Ireland. When you ask us to order on your behalf,
the Registrar will require you to show a connection to Ireland through
having one of the following;
- Examples of Customers in Northern Ireland or Republic of
Ireland (having copies of invoices to customers in Northern
Ireland or Republic of Ireland will normally suffice).
- A connection such as an agent or office here.
- An Irish, European Community or UK Trade Mark which the domain
name you want is extracted from.

if your company should be able to register an Irish .ie domain name.
If you based in (or trade within) Northern Ireland and/or the
Republic of Ireland, it would give you a 'local' domain name which
is very recognisable.
Irish .ie domains are often given prominence in www.google.ie
(which is widely used in ROI) and other Irish search engines, more
so than .com/co.uk domains.
As the rules have been relaxed, you should grab your .ie name(s)
when you still can!

(€129) per annum. Normal price is £119
+ vat (€170) per annum.

* Unlike .com/co.uk
domains, the conditions of issue of .ie domains are much more
tightly controlled. There is only one Registrar
licensed to issue .ie domains and, due to the higher administrative
requirement in handling and verifying submissions, the costs
of registering a .ie domain is considerably higher than that
for .com/co.uk domains, which are available from many Registrars
on a first-come, first-served basis. |
